Kathy Raughley, an Alabama native, grew up in a Southern home, rich in family traditions. She graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from the University of Alabama. She and her husband Erwin Raughley have been married for 25 years and have three children, Winn age 22, a Senior majoring in Finance from the University of Alabama, Caroline, 21 a Sophomore at the University of Alabama majoring in Fashion Design, and Hayden age 17, a sophmore at Briarwood Christian High School. They have been members of The Church at Brookhills for 15 years.

Kathy started KDR Construction Inc. in 1994 and has continued her reputation for building quaility homes that incorporate family values and busy lifestyles.

She is active in civic groups, is a member of the Women's Exchange of Birmingham, Alabama, Alabama Home Builders Licensure Board, Past President of The Briarwood High School PTF, and The Tennis Board for Greystone Country Club.
